India: Maruti Suzuki introduces the all-new 4 th -generation Dzire in India and gives it a fresh design, new engineering, and segment-first features to one of the most popular compact sedans in the country. The new Dzire has a price starting point of 6.84 lakh (ex-showroom price) in an attempt to provide high end customer experience at a pocket friendly price.
Engine and Performance
The 2025 Dzire runs on the new 1.2-litre Z-series petrol engine of Maruti which is powered by the latest Swift. Delivers 80 bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque, and comes with a 5-speed manual as well as an AMT (automated manual transmission). Carrying a BS6 Phase 2 compliant engine, this is smoother in performance and more fuel efficient. There is also a factory fitted CNG version offering 68 bhp and 102 Nm of torque, which is an excellent choice of drivers that are not looking to spend money on fuel.
Mileage and Efficiency
The Dzire is good on fuel consumption. The petrol variant is said to get a mileage between 24 km/l and the CNG version has an impressive mileage of 33.73 km/kg. The said figures position the Dzire among the most economical sedans in its segment, which excel in both short commuting and longer road trips.
Comfort and Interior Features
The interior has been upgraded significantly with a dual-tone cabin, and a flat-bottom steering wheel as well as a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay inside. Single-pane, electric sunroof and 360-degree surround view camera are segment-first features. There are automatic climate control, rear air con vents, cruise control, wireless phone charge and tyre pressure monitoring system among other features. The seats are comfortable with the cabin having enough space to accommodate five persons.
Price and Variants
Dzire has four trims namely LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus and nine variants. They cost between ₹6.84 lakh and ₹10.19 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). ZXi Plus model has the best features as compared to the other models, VXi is at the middle level in the cost vs comfort balance sheet.
