Here is the all-new Vision S SUV, which Mahindra is to unveil on August 15, 2025. The Vision S, the first of Mahindra urban electric vehicles to be launched, is designed as a compact, but capable EV with all the required features in an urban environment. It has a futuristic design, good performance, and an emphasis on low prices, to target young professionals and families in urban areas interested in a low-cost intelligent electric vehicle.
Engine and Performance
The vision s will have an automatic transmission that will run fully electric. Unlike the motor specification that Mahindra has not made official yet, available reports on the picture indicate that the motor will provide an optimal combination of performance and efficiency that is ready to take on daily commutes in the city. The SUV component was designed on the NU IQ platform, which means quick handling response, smooth acceleration, and peaceful ride, which is characteristic of contemporary EVs.
Mileage and Range
Although still not decided, the Vision S should be able to achieve a competitive ARAI approved range of probably 350 to 450 km on an empty battery. That is why it can be used to commute in the city and take short weekend trips. The plug-in charging options and battery capacities are not yet disclosed yet, although closer to the launch, Mahindra is estimated to be offering home and fast-charging stations.
Comfort and Interior Experience
Successfully combining a small footprint with spacious and comfortably packaged interior, the Vision S offers a maximum utilization of its rooms. It will have a modern dash design, digital gauges and internet connected automobile technology. Although it is not going to have a sunroof, the cabin is supposed to provide a comfortable driver and passenger seating, climate-control, and intelligent storage systems. NU IQ platform also features the flexible interior structures that improve comfort and functionality of passengers.
Price and Market Positioning
The official price of the Vision S is yet to be determined, but the model will probably come between the BE6 and XUV EV and is projected to begin around 14-18 lakh (ex-showroom). This puts it directly in rivalry to other firms, including compact electric SUVs such as the MG Windsor EV and Tata Harrier EV. Its combination of price, electric performance, and futuristic design is bound to make the Vision S one of the better contenders on the Indian EV market.
summary
the Mahindra Vision S seems audacious to cheap, electrified mobility. It promises to be a good alternative to other cars in terms of price and performance because of its streamlined looks, smooth driver experience, and likely affordable cost of acquisition.
